How long will my balloons last?
This is a great question, with a broad answer!

Generally speaking, we say balloons will last anywhere between 2-5 days.
In saying that; there's more science in balloons than you may think!

-Confetti Balloons have more weight in them, so most sizes only last about 24 hours.

-Latex balloons with hi-float inside will float about 2-5 days.
Constant days of rain and also heat = less float time (about 2 days).
Balloons are best kept in air-conditioning for longevity (3-5 days).
Balloons will always last better in the cooler months, than the hotter months!

-Latex balloons without hi-float only last about 8-10 hours from inflation.

-Foil balloons float for about 5-7 days.

-Plastic Bubble balloons float for 1-2 weeks. 

-Air-Filled balloons can last for months!

Weather affects the float-time of balloons; and unfortunately that's one thing we simply can't control. Constant Rain and Heat are the hardest battle for us here in Cairns! But keeping them cool, in a non-humid environment and/or in air-conditioning is the absolute best for longevity of balloons!!

2020 DELIVERY & SHIPPING FEES

These prices will be applied at check-out. 
Please note: our minimum spend, before delivery is $25. 

Cairns Local Deliveries: Gordonvale to Palm Cove
$25 - $100 spend =  $15 delivery fee

$101 - $199 spend = $25 delivery fee

$200 - $400 spend =  $50 delivery fee

$400+ please contact us, we will quote according to order.

Same Day Delivery:
Same Day Deliveries will be delivered before 5pm, or later if it's for a dinner reservation at a restaurant. Please provide your reservation time.  

Delivery Times:
WE DO NOT specify delivery times on online orders. We deliver high volumes of balloon bouquets daily, and our runs change daily based on the areas we are travelling each day. Rest assured, we do aim to deliver our balloons in a timely manner, and not too late in the day. Should you have a reasonable deadline, please provide this information in the notes section upon check-out. If there's an issue, we will be in touch!

When calling us to order, we do ask for a minimum of a 2-hour delivery window.
(Eg: between 10am - 12pm. Or between 2pm - 4pm, for example). 

Nation-wide freight (EXCLUDES inflated balloons):
$20 flat-rate.
If your shipping cost comes in cheaper, we will happily refund you the difference automatically. 

Additional Notes:
Please provide any additional notes that may help us with successfully delivering your balloons/goods, in the notes box at check-out.  

LAY-BY TERMS

• 20% Deposit
• 8 week term (some flexibility given)
• If final payment is not complete and paid in full by that date, your lay-by will be cancelled and your balloons / decor will not be inflated / made.
• Following cancellation, funds can still be refunded but a cancellation fee of $15 or the value of the payment made, whichever is lesser, will be charged. 

 

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION POLICY

• Minor changes to your order can be made up until 36 hours (1.5 days) before your job date.
• Major changes to your order (ie: colour change/quantity) need to be discussed at least 7 days prior to your event date.
• 7 days notice is needed for cancelling an order altogether.
• A fee of $15 will be charged for cancelling an order with at least 7 days notice. Cancellation of an order within 7 days, will incur a higher fee based on how much of your order has had stock ordered in especially and how much work has already gone into preparing your order. A lot of time goes into preparing your order well before your event date, which is why we ask for at least 7 days notice for cancellations.

 

REFUND POLICY
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. This includes changing your event date or cancelling an event.

You can choose a refund or exchange if the item has a major problem*.
This is when an item:

• Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it. 
• Is significantly different from the sample or description.
• Does not meet the specific purpose you asked for and cannot be easily rectified in a reasonable time.
• Doesn't do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can't be easily fixed.

If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement. 

Client must present us with an opportunity to resolve the problem. Failure to provide us the opportunity to resolve the problem negates the ability to be refunded.

COVID-19
If your event was booked prior to March 2020, we will happily refund your order  in full. If your booking was made and paid for any time after March 2020, we are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind or need to cancel; this includes changing your event date or cancelling an event. We will happily issue you with a full credit to the value of your order, and you will have 2 years to use this credit, on anything available at Balloons Etc.

 

* We generally do no replace or refund on DIY flat/deflated balloons. These items are fragile and we have no control of the situation to know how they were inflated, used and stored.
